Saturday, June 12th was the Creative Arts Center's spring performance. This is exciting because both Saige and Aspynn dance for the CAC. We have been looking forward to the spring performance for a few months now as the girls have been practicing their dances. The ballet is based on Beauty and the Beast (Aspynn was REALLY excited about that). The sad part about it was that the Jenkins Family Reunion was the same weekend, so Jake and Kaden went to that while the girls and I stayed here so they could perform. It was a LONG and HARD weekend to do everything myself!!!
Wednesday through Friday the girls had practice from 5:30-7:30(yeah right, more like 8:00) then we would hurry home and try to have dinner and get them to bed. Saturday (the day of the performance) the girls had a dress rehearsal at 9:30am that ended around 1:00 and then they had to be back to the Civic Center for the performance at 6:00pm. It was a long day, but the ballet was AWESOME!!! All the dancers did such a great job!!!

The girls were sooooo tired they fell asleep in the car on the way to the Civic Center (I kept telling them, "Don't Lay On Your Buns, Don't Mess Up Your Buns!!!" They tried really hard to sleep in a way that they wouldn't mess up their buns and they didn't!!! Way to go girls!!!

Last year we learned that after girls perform in a ballet you are supposed to give the girls flowers (last year all the other girls got flowers and Saige didn't and she was VERY upset) so this year we didn't disappoint the girls. They got flowers and they were VERY excited!!!

How cute are they...all the make-up really makes them look older!! I am so glad you remembered the flowers...that is definately part of the production! I can hardly wait to see the video!!
