Christmas December 25, 2011

This Christmas was different than most....for one thing we have been SUPER busy with everything going on lately (Jake's B-day, McKinlee's arrival, Nutcracker, Christmas, LIFE, etc.), second it was on Sunday so our ward decided to have a BIG combined Sacrament with the other 3 wards and so we would meet at 10am instead of 1pm, and we had most of my family here for all of the "busy" stuff I referred to earlier....so anyhow...it wasn't the same old same old kind of Christmas feeling. Anyhow....so on Christmas morning the kids woke up around 7:30am (which was VERY nice!!!) we told them they could check out their Santa stuff, open Aunt Kari's gift (the kids always get nice clothes that can usually be worn to Church for Christmas), and open one other present and then they had to start getting ready to go to Church. Then after Church we would come home and open the rest of the gifts.

Here are some pics of the kids opening their Christmas Gifts....

Things got off to a rough start with Aspynn, but got a lot better throughout the day.....
Saige just loved everything....

Kaden had an AWESOME Christmas also...

Here is a pic of our FAMILY GIFT

The hospital gives you a baby sized stocking to take home when your baby is born around Christmas....here is McKinlee in her stocking....

In her stocking under the Christmas Tree

35 years ago Jake was born in the same hospital Aspynn was and here she is in the stocking he came home from the hospital in. We thought that was pretty special!!!

Another special thing about Christmas was that because most of Jake and I's families were here we talked to the Bishop about blessing McKinlee after our big 3 ward sacrament in the Relief Society room and he was cool with that so we decided to just go ahead and bless McKinlee. It made for a very special Christmas!!!
