Our New Floors

So...this last weekend we decided to put in our new floors since it was a 3 day weekend (just enough time to finish a small DIY project). Well...I was surprised, but we actually are DONE with the project!! It seems like when you start one of these you are usually finishing up a week or so late, but we did really well!!! Here are some of the pics.....

This is a before picture (and when I say before I mean like 6 months ago)

The dining room after Jake ripped the carpet out (the tack strips are still there and I was soooo worried that Burgee would step on one, but he didn't).

Working on removing the underlayment (last time we did this we hated it.....just so you know....it isn't any better the second time around!!!)

Aspynn was such a good helper!!! She helped clean up the little pieces of underlayment and she also picked up all the nails/screws that we took out of the underlayment.

Jake and I both fell in love with his new shop vac. It made clean up soooooo easy!!! Thanks Aunt Kari!!!

The kids LOVED the flooring. They just couldn't help themselves they had to get on the floors and slide on them and dance on them (just to make sure they work).

I am sooooo proud of Jake!!! He did such a good job!!

I love the new floors. And to finish things off Jake just had to be the first to spill on the new floors so when we were done he ran and got a full cup of water and dumped it on the floor. Silly guy!!!

HOORAY for no carpet in the dining room!!!
