Kaden & Saige's Birthday Activiteis

This year Kaden & Saige's birthday's were a little different than normal. Since we moved from Boise we were really excited to hear that Great-Grandma & Great-Grandpa Davis, Grandma Yearsley and Aunt Kari were coming up for the kids birthday's. The only catch was that Grandma Yearsley & Aunt Kari have jobs they would have to be back Monday morning for, so we decided to do both kids birthday's on the same day this year. So...we asked both kids what they wanted to do for their birthday and Kaden wanted to go bowling and Saige wanted to go miniature golfing. So I jumped on the phone and started making plans of how I would make all this happen. Well...I found Sleeping Giant Lanes had both!! HORAY!!! So August 9th after we got back from Gates of the Mountains we met up with Grandma & Grandpa Jenkins and went bowling & miniature golfing. It was SOOOO much fun!! The kids REALLY enjoyed it!!! After bowling and miniature golfing we came back to Grandpa & Grandma Jenkins house and had pizza, presents, cake & lots of fun. We really appreciate the long trip Great-Grandma & Great-Grandpa Davis, Grandma Yearsley and Aunt Kari made to spend this special day with the kids.
Kaden & Saige showing me their bowling shoes

Kaden shocked us from the beginning. I didn't know he knew anything about bowling and somehow he did!!! He had to be shown how to pick up the ball correctly, but other than that he did an excellent job!!! He even threw a few spares!!!

Saige posing for the camera...coincidentally it was right after she threw a spare.

Aspynn was the funniest bowler ever!!! We would get the ramp all set up for her and tell her it was her turn and she would run up to it, push the ball off, and then look through the bars for a second before turning around and continuing with whatever she was doing previously. She wouldn't even wait and see if and how many pins she knocked over. What a two year old!!!

Aspynn holding her ball and smiling for the camera.

The final scores. I thought I would take a picture of the kids final scores. Kaden & Saige got their scores all on their own. Aspynn used the ramp and we directed it for her. Kinda funny side note: Kaden, Saige & Aspynn all scored higher than MOST of all the adults!!!

Kaden out miniature golfing

Saige trying to putt the ball in. She did A LOT better than I thought she would at 4 year old!!!

Aspynn trying her hardest. We just kinda let her do her own thing!!!

Kaden & Saige excited to see the balloons and get started with the presents and cupcakes!!!

PRESENT TIME!!!

TIME FOR CAKE

Happy Birthday To You, You Live in a Zoo, You Look Like a Mearcat, AND You Smell Like One Too!!!

(The kids made this song up and sang it the entire week leading up to their birthday)

It looks like so much fun. I hesitate to show my kids, they will be so bummed they couldn't join the fun. That's fun you took them bowling, my kids have been begging to do that. Nice cakes Kim! What's up with that? You mean cupcake time!! Ok- what's with the hats?
