Yellowstone National Park

Here are some of the pics we took on our trip through Yellowstone. We had a great time and we hope you enjoy looking at the pics. We really hope to be able to go back again soon and enjoy all of the beautiful scenery and hopefully even see more of what Yellowstone has to offer.
Waterfall

We stopped and took several pics of this waterfall. We thought it was very beautiful!!!

Artist Point & The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone

The waterfall

Jake and the kids looking at the waterfall. It was very beautiful!!! The only sad part was that it was so misty near the waterfall that we couldn't seem to get a great pic of it.

This is a pic of what they call the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. It was very beautiful!!!

The Continental Divide

Kaden & Saige looking at the pond FULL of lillypads just steps away from the Continental Divide

Look at Mom and Smile guys!!!

The Wildlife

The first Elk we saw

The second Elk we saw

I just thought these birds were very pretty. They just sat on this rock looking at the waterfall we were checking out. After a few flashes they finally left though.

The first Bison we saw

The second bison we saw (we saw quite a few so Clint and I finally had to stop taking pics of them because how many pics of bison does one person need). The interesting thing is that we NEVER saw more than one bison at a time. We really thought they would be in herds.

The kids were BEGGING Uncle Clint and Jake to find them a bear. It was the funniest thing because Jake and Clint were looking really hard, then we realized what time it was and Clint said, "If we don't stop anymore we will get out of here around 9:00" not even 5 minutes later Clint hollers out, "PULL OVER I SEE A BEAR!!". So Jake pulls over and we got out and tried to take some pics of the bear. Well this bear was on the move so this is pretty much the only pic we got out of the whole thing. Thanks Clint!!!

OK now this was the talk of the day!!! The kids couldn't figure out if this was Alvin, Simon or Theodore, but they sure were excited to see the chipmunk. I was surprised at how long he played by Saige. She just kept saying, "Come here Simon, here Simon baby....come here, come here Simon." It was very cute.

Going to see Old Faithful

Aspynn getting in her backpack to go "Backpackin". We all laugh whenever Aspynn has to get in her backpack because she always says..."OK Dad, I'm ready to go backpackin'. It's just a riot!!!

Kaden playing in all the trees waiting until Old Faithful next eruption

The kids waiting patiently for the eruption.

I kinda liked this one polarized. I thought it really brought out the eruption. Anyhow...I just thought it was kinda cool.

Kaden and Saige were very interested in Old Faithful. They thought it was pretty cool.

The kids after the eruption and READY to GO!!! We had to wait for an hour for the eruption so after the 3 minute show the kids were really ready to head out!!!
